Day-102 Gratitude series
By any other name…
And so the story goes….
This pink beauty blossomed in the home of a friend and he shared it with me.
Even though it was a virtual gift, I felt the aroma, the sweet scent, the softness of its petals, and its inner resilience in growing against the backdrop of a concrete wall.
This rose whispered in my ear that she missed the company of friends. I, naturally empathized.I have had this ability to talk to plants knowing they listen with rapt attention. I know many a plant in my garden has blossomed after my touch and my words and a couple have perished when they have been not given their due attention.
Such is the wonder of love. It allows you to blossom.Love takes you from mere survival to a healthy thrive.
In the lockdown, surprisingly, in spite of not meeting anyone, I have made 2 wonderful connects,
I shall call them friends which are here to stay. We connected through my writings and they would pick up those phrases which were in-depth and close to my heart.
I am grateful for them. Yes, I would be the first to admit that virtual connects are no substitute for coffee and cake meets with hugs to end, but yet, in these times, I believe these connects to be genuine and true and am grateful for them.
Life has a way of teaching us things we may be reluctant to study but once adapted they offer new gleanings and then the new normal starts to feel wonderful.
We have lost many in these times and a silent prayer to all those who have suffered.
“Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep” by Mary Frye“
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die”
Life is yours and Bliss is within
